Automatic Electronic Faucets

Automation at its best
It is amazing when you look back and see the advancements we have made to automate just about
everything we use today. Sometimes I wonder if we will reach a point where we will not have to move from our couch
if we so choose to live that way.
The water faucet is no exception to automation. We have come a long way from pumping the
water from a well by raising and lowering a lever to start the flow of water. Then we modernized our towns
and cities with water plants who delivered a steady water pressure to our home and the water faucet was born.
The most common water faucet is the two-handle faucet that has a hot and cold side. From there we have seen
an explosive growth in single handle faucets that you push to one side for cold and gradually slide it to the other
side for warm to hot water. This design allowed for a more elegant design and style of a faucet to be born,
which in turn allowed for some fancy upgrades making your bathroom or kitchen something special.
Next came the cartridge type of water faucet that had fewer parts to fail, making this type of
faucet the most reliable type on the market. This design not only made them more reliable, but also made them
more affordable and easy to repair for the average DIY homeowner.
However, the most amazing faucet today is the automatic electronic faucet. These faucets
are just amazing. When I first heard of the electronic faucet, I thought electricity and water, "no way".
Nevertheless, it's true you can buy a water faucet that is powered by electricity and is completely
automated. These models are the most efficient faucet on the market to date. Simply wave your hand
across the front and the electronic faucet senses, your presence and the water turns on. You can pre- program
them to deliver a set temperature, or you can set them to sense if your hand is to the right for colder water or to
the left for hotter water. Since water only comes on when your hands are near the faucet you will see marked
savings in your water consumption. If you're about getting an electronic water faucet you will want to shop
around, they can be pricey but will pay for themselves over time. It is also a good idea to get an electronic
faucet that has a battery backup so that you can still draw water should you lose power. There are many
brands to choose from such as the American standard electronic faucet.
A quick search on the internet using Google brought up several models to choose from ranging
from around $150.00 up to $800.00. The more money you spend the more features you get, but not necessarily
the best quality just because you spend more money. This is one type of faucet that you will want to do your
homework before buying.
